Welcome to your Cozy April Reading Reset: Poetry, Plants & Pages
Hi Bookish Besties!
Spring is fully blooming, and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a shift in energy, in focus, in the gentle pull toward growth and change.
My sister recently sent me a photo of all the seeds she’s been planting for her garden, and it sparked something in me. To give you context, we had herb, vegetable, fruit, and flower gardens growing up, and I’ve been thinking a lot lately of going back to my roots and starting something on my back patio. That small inspiration is exactly what this week’s issue is about—tending to your inner life just as you would care for what grows outside.
This week's Journal is a cozy blend of poetry, plants, and pages—a soft April reset for your reading life. Inside you’ll find:
A Beginner’s Guide to Reading Poetry
Five Classic Poems about Books & Reading (full text included!)
Three Nature-Inspired Novels that explore climate, conservation, and connection
A Spring Reading Ritual you can try this week
Spring Reset Ideas to inspire new action
This guide is all about slowing down, reading with intention, and reconnecting to the natural rhythms around (and within) us.
